My Best Birthday Gift – A Birthday Message that touched my heart !

Although I got many great messages, wishes and blessings from all my loved ones, but this one touched my heart very deeply

Here’s the reason why –

In todays world I see  that true love barely exists or is in danger of vanishing in the present time.

For me today’s world is filled with people who are extremely selfish and self-centered, full of materialism and materialistic people, full of money minded people .

Everyone shows materialism, results in lost values. All relations are based on selfishness either for some specific purpose or just to show off. Love and priorities are not found in these relations, only money or material based. We all love money, pray money, think about money and we live only because of money.

What the hell is this? Can money provide us pleasures and happiness? Can money provide us real respect? Can money make us laugh? NO, then why we are becoming so materialistic? It’s because we are not living a real life. We are living in illusions created by our own minds. A few decades ago, we used to prefer relations, human beings and dignity than money, gadgets and electronic accessories. People used to care about other human beings. There was an atmosphere of emotions and modesty. People remain united in the ups and downs of life. They share happiness and sorrow with each other. Selfish and jealous people were also found, but they were not in majority. Nowadays situation is completely reserved.

People prefer money; we work extra hours just to earn more and more money. Some people are working for about 18 hours for what? Money! Why? Because they believe that we can’t survive in less money or they want to improve their living standards. One thing which has been left behind in this race of earning money is happiness.

We don’t have much time to spend

coz in todays world everyone thinks that

TIME IS MONEY

No body has time for their loved ones, gone are the days where people use to talk about unconditional love, feelings, sacrifice, commitment, sincerity, honesty, dedication, no body wants to spend their valuable and precious time to write a long letter

Huh, why should we spend so much of time and do a tiring job of writing our true feelings…..

Remember !

( TIME IS MONEY )

And then we have the amazing technology of today,s world (The Internet)

to do our jobs that to without wasting our precious time and money,  everything is ready made and available on the internet you just name it baby !

( Amazing graphics, Great videos, Animations, Wishes, Greetings, Poem, Beautiful messages,

You just need to know the magic mantra ie –

( CUT COPY PASTE) and you are done………!!!!!

Wow, isn’t it great ?

But do you really think that you can touch someone’s heart by those fake things ??

Think about it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am thankful to god that I have a such great friend who truly cares about me and by this beautiful message which is their own creation and not ready made,

They made me realize that  I mean something for them, it feels so great to know that you are so special for someone, it feels so great when you know that there is someone for whom you and your happiness matters a lot and who loves you unconditionally

Below is the message which I got from one of my greatest friend Ms Malgorzata Zgiet from Poland I am so happy that even that she watsed her precious time to wish me on my birthday and wrote this long but the most beautiful letter to me.

Thank,s Mal this is the best birthday gift I got on this birthday

I wish you the power to pursue, possess, and afterwards be content and take rest rejoicing in the rewards of your labour, without belabouring ridiculous trivialities. I wish for your life balance, a positive attitude, and willingness embrace the unknown therein are your unexpected surprises, future achievements, and life accomplishments. I wish for you the ability to breathe, believe, and always receive above and beyond what you ever thought could be. I wish for you enough sun to keep your attitude bright and enough rain to appreciate the sun more.

Happy Birthday Happy 😀

This great letter also answered a questions that I had in my mind from such a long time –

Can True Love Still be Found in Today’s World?

Answer – Yes, true love still exists, but it is very rear very very rear in this ugly materialistic world full of mean, selfish, self centered, money minded, manipulative people and is only gifted to very few very fortunate and blessed ones….!

All those who are blessed with true and unconditional love, should be greatful and thankful to god as you are really very fortunate to be blessed with true love in today’s ugly world

Remember that it is the true and unconditional love that can bring highest beauty and joy in your life, it is the biggest and greatest wealth.

Ask the ones who aren’t so lucky and blessed with it.

Ask me ! :(

  3. Signs of Internet Addiction

Dr. Kimberly Young has likened Internet addiction to addictive syndromes similar to impulse-control disorders on the Axis I Scale of the DSM. She developed the Internet Addiction Diagnostic Questionnaire (IADQ) to diagnose the disorder. Meeting five of the following symptoms were considered necessary to be diagnosed.

    1. Do you feel preoccupied with the Internet (think about previous online activity or anticipate next online session)?
    2. Do you feel the need to use the Internet with increasing amounts of time in order to achieve satisfaction?
    3. Have you repeatedly made unsuccessful efforts to control, cut back, or stop Internet use?
    4. Do you feel restless, moody, depressed, or irritable when attempting to cut down or stop Internet use?
    5. Do you stay online longer than originally intended?
    6. Have you jeopardized or risked the loss of significant relationship, job, educational or career opportunity because of the Internet?
    7. Have you lied to family members, therapist, or others to conceal the extent of involvement with the Internet?
    8. Do you use the Internet as a way of escaping from problems or of relieving a dysphoric mood (e.g., feelings of helplessness, guilt, anxiety, depression)?

    Other Symptoms Include:

    • Failed attempts to control behavior

    • Heightened sense of euphoria while involved in computer and Internet activities

    • Neglecting friends and family

    • Neglecting sleep to stay online

    • Being dishonest with others

    • Feeling guilty, ashamed, anxious, or depressed as a result of online behavior

    • Physical changes such as weight gain or loss, backaches, headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome

    • Withdrawing from other pleasurable activities

  4. Anti-Social Behavior Computer networks are quickly proliferating in the United States as a primary form of communication, while making dramatic impact in popular culture (Kraettli L. Epperson, Sociology Professor, Rice University). Activities include e-mail, newsgroups, listserves, file transfer protocol sites, and internet relay chat known as IM. People are using the Internet as a form of social behavior, replacing older methods of postal mail and even the telephone. Yet, what has become a ‘revolutionary’ tool in Computer-Mediated Communications (CMC), is now being looked at as also a tool of socially destructive behavior. This form of behavior better known as, anti-social behavior, is a psychological disorder.

  5. While our culture heralds the Internet as a technological wonder, there are suggestions that Internet use has a negative influence on individuals and their social skills. A recent study conducted by Carnegie Mellon University concludes that Internet use leads to small but statistically significant increases in misery and loneliness and a decline in overall psychological well-being (American Psychological Association, 1998). The appropriately named HomeNetproject studied a sample of 169 people in Pittsburg during their first year or two online. Data showed that as people in this sample used the Internet more, they reported keeping up with fewer friends. They also reported spending less time talking with their families, experiencing more daily stress, and feeling more lonely and depressed. These results occurred even though interpersonal communication was their most important reason for using the Internet.

In their dealings with technology, today’s youths are often portrayed as either victims or criminals. The press releases warning of Internet “stalkers,” coupled with the recent tragedies of Columbine H.S. and elsewhere, have raised issues of safety and concern when dealing with the Internet. Like Weinstein, many have taken the view that media and technology — including television, motion pictures, and CD recordings — have deteriorated the values and social functioning of our youth. In their view, the Internet is a prime culprit for this affliction with its innate game-playing capabilities (Fainaru, 1998), suspected addictive tendencies, and beckoning sexually-explicit temptations. Debate as to the detrimental effects of technology on youth will perhaps linger due to the tentative nature of the research on this subject.

  6. Data to bear on the question of how use of the Internet is changing social participation. Current research has shown conflicting evidence about the effects of the Internet on communication and social relationships. Several arguments have been advanced concerning the impact of Internet use on social involvement. One, dating back to early concerns of anti-social effects of Internet use, is that Internet use takes time away from positive social interactions thus having a negative effect on social relationships and psychological well-being (Kraut et al., 1998; Nie et al., 2002). This argument, dubbed the hydraulic or crowding-out effect of Internet use, had been supported by results by Nie and colleagues (Nie et al., 2002; Nie & Hillygus, 2002), showing that Internet users spent significantly less time interacting face-to-face with family and friends than non-users. Many writers have worried that the ease of Internet communication might encourage people to spend more time alone, talking online with strangers or forming superficial drive by relationships, at the expense of deeper discussion and companionship with existing friends and family (e.g., Putnam, 2000, p. 179). Given the constraints of a 24-hour day, the inefficiency of online communication may cause heavy users of the Internet to maintain under-developed social relationships with their online communication partners (e.g., Parks & Roberts, 1998) or to maintain a smaller stock of relationships. A further concern is that even when conversing with close friends and family, lower quality, online conversations might displace higher quality, face-to-face and telephone conversations (Cummings, Butler & Kraut, 2002). For example, the impoverished nature of online communication can cause people to omit the social niceties that promote or maintain social relationships (e.g., Brennan, 1991; Cummings et al., 2002; Sproull & Kiesler, 1991).

  7. Warning that technology could devour them
The internet has the potential to destroy society, the Archbishop of York has warned.

Archbishop David Hope said that computer “wizardry” was in danger of creating a “society without a soul”.

In February, the archbishop of Canterbury, Dr George Carey, warned about what he saw as the perils of internet use, saying it could be exclusive and isolating.

Internet may be helping radically change our society, but
not all of this change is for the better.

    Please do not get addicted

BE – HUMAN As you are a human being with a real heart that hurts, a soul and these aren’t fake / virtual !!!

The Internet is just Destroying Social Skills and Society
“The more hours people use the Internet, the less time they
spend with real human beings” .
Due to the Internet, people nowadays do not have to interact with real
human beings face to face. This brings about the loss of
one of life’s necessary skills, social skills.
This brings about many effects on society, in
particular the break up of relationships, particularly
families and marriages. Reportedly a “significant number of
people do blame the Internet for the break-up of their
    marriage” (http://www.internetaddiction.com).

    In some cases
it is because anyone can search electronic databases, and
find a person who is just right for them. Some people blame
the break up of marriages on Internet chat rooms. The main
reason is that it “brings them closer to a greater number
    of people through electronic relationships”
    l).

Using chat programs, a person can become whatever he or she
wants. I believe that while on-line “people reveal
their emotions quicker than in real life”(:? 😦 :* 🙂 ).
This then forges a relationship with other people whom the
user feels comfortable in the presence of.
They soon feel more comfortable in the presence of “cyber strangers”
    (http://www.internetaddiction.com), than with real humans.

All these reasons are orchestrating the “new age of
    domestic destruction”
    (http://members.xoom.com/Halogirl1/nromance.htm) The
Internet may be helping radically change our society, but
not all of this change is for the better.
